VWR to Distribute GE Healthcare Life Science Products

VWR Expands Life Science Research Product Offerings to North American Customers

WEST CHESTER, PA, January 24, 2007 - VWR International, a leading global distributor of scientific equipment, supplies, chemicals and furniture, today announced that it has entered into a definitive, non-exclusive, distribution agreement with GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences Corp, a unit of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE). Effective January 26, 2007, customers will be able to access GE Healthcare products through VWR.

This new supplier relationship with GE Healthcare further strengthens VWR.s position in the Life Science industry. "This agreement significantly enhances VWR's network of supplier partnerships by extending GE Healthcare.s industry-leading life science research products to our customers," said John Ballbach, VWR President and CEO. "We will leverage the strengths of both our companies to provide systems solutions for the best life science research products and support to our mutual customers. Together, we believe we offer customers an unparalleled combination of product quality and value."

Under the terms of the agreement, VWR will offer a range of GE products to its customers in North America, including radiochemicals, film, and certain electrophoresis, chromatography and nucleic acid purification products.
